Mount Carlyle Lodge
Brian Cross, aka the Bald Bomber, is the new owner of Mount Carlyle Backcountry Ski Lodge near Kaslo, BC. He wanted to update the website design, logo, and promotional marketing materials for the lodge.
We decided to focus on the rich mining and skiing history of the Kootenay region. The Mount Carlyle area is dotted with old mine sites and artifacts, and also home to the powder motherlodes of the Selkirk Mountains. With Brian’s past as a prospector and his almost 30 years in the backcountry lodge business, this combination seemed like a good fit.
Bomber took part in a photo shoot for Dave Heath’s Schuss, a photographic homage to the early days of skiing. We were fortunate to be able to use some of these great photos for the Mount Carlyle Lodge website.
The website was developed using WordPress and features an online reservation form, interactive google maps showing the lodge’s location and terrain, local weather updates, and a custom designed theme.
